Soundsmith is a DJ and producer working across house and disco with a cosmic and expansive twist. Always looking for ways to take the room somewhere unexpected, to get in the groove, feel the rhythm and go deep.
Twenty years behind the decks have shaped a crate-digger's approach to selection: patient, considered transitions, and a selection from the un-shazzmable depths. The journey started in Oxford's bass-heavy years at legendary venues such as The Cellar and The Coven, moved through London's dancefloor circuit with sets at spots like E1 and Metropolis, and opened up properly in Berlin with regular extended three and four-hour sessions at places like KitKatClub and Sisyphos.
Now moving between Bristol, Berlin and London, Soundsmith is a member of the Reverb Bistro collective, with releases out on The Disco Express, Fresh Take Records.
The mission is what it's always been: go on a journey with the music, and bring the room with you.
